Coming into this class, I was not expecting it to be so relevant to the real world. But, after a semester of gaining knowledge of webpage design, the connection could not be more clear. When I used to go on the internet, I would never think about all the effort it takes to make one website. These are some people’s entire jobs! Now, I am more aware and appreciative of complex websites. That being said, I do not see a future for a career in graphic design, web design/development or multimedia communications. But, the skills I acquired will certainly come in handy in my unknown future. Furthermore, every Friday, we would do a current event activity that always connected to the real world. Sometimes, they would even connect with the technological aspect of our curriculum as well.
